Commercial Swimming Pool U.V. System

Install an ETS ultraviolet disinfection system today and realize the benefits tomorrow. UV Treatments eliminate the cause of red eyes & skin irritation, reduces the need for super-chlorination, prevents degradation of heating and ventilation systems and, most importantly, increases customer confidence.

Applications / Benefits of Ultraviolet Light: Ultraviolet Light (UV) provides a non-chemical, environmentally friendly treatment option for processes ranging from municipal drinking water, food and beverage services, to pharmaceutical applications and swimming pools and spas. Most microorganisms, even Cryptosporidium and Giardia, are inactivated in less than a second by high doses of UV light. Additionally, UV will break down organic and inorganic pollutants in water. This is particularly true in the swimming pool industry, where a significant reduction in combined chlorine (chloramines) can be achieved.

Dose: The disinfection efficiency of UV is based on the applied energy over a given surface. This is expressed as Dose. Where Dose=Intensity x Time. The Intensity is determined by the UV lamp power and Time is determined by the flow rate. ETS has performed extensive research to ensure adequate flow and bulb intensity is maintained to achieve the desired results. For swimming pool applications, ETS UV units deliver a minimum Dose of 600 J/m2 (60 mj/cm2) while treating full recirculating flow.
